Gurtej Varn is a Wealth Advisor, founder of White Coat Financial, and the co-host of The Dental Journeys Podcast. 

 

After completing his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of British Columbia, Gurtej obtained multiple designations in the financial sector. He is a registered mortgage broker, insurance broker, investment advisor, and holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designations. 

 

In 2022, Gurtej earned a place on the Wealth Professional Canada Rising Stars list, which recognizes the most promising young talents under 40 in the Canadian wealth management industry. Just a year later, he was named Wealth Professional Canada's Young Achiever of the Year for 2023—an honour awarded to the top advisor in the country under 40. That same year, he was also recognized as Young Professional of the Year by Drishti Magazine.
 

He is a two time (2024 & 2025) qualifying member of HUB Financial’s National Advisor Conference, reserved for the top 100 independent advisors in the HUB Financial Channel, and a two time (2025 & 2026) qualifying member of Million Dollar Round Table—a prestigious global association recognizing the world’s leading financial advisors.
 

Gurtej began his career at TD Canada Trust, where he swiftly advanced from Teller to become the youngest Investment Specialist in the company’s history. His experience at Scotiabank further honed his expertise in working with healthcare professionals, paving the way for the successful launch of his own independent practice.

Today, Gurtej spearheads White Coat Financial, a private wealth advisory firm specializing in working with Dentists across Canada.

Outside of the financial realm, Gurtej generously dedicates his time as a volunteer Big Brother with the Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver and a Student Mentor with the Cmolik Foundation. He also founded the Seva Financial Foundation, a non-profit offering free financial planning services to low-income families, single parents, individuals with disabilities, immigrants, and others in need.
